The Rules

• Predict the score of every match of World Cup 2022
• Entries for group stages are open now, and each match will close 1 hour before kick off
• Knockout rounds will open once all games from the previous round have been completed. Again, each match will close 1 hour before kick off
• Points will be awarded based on the below:
  • 3 points for getting the correct score, e.g. you predict England to win 2-0, and they win 2-0
  • 1 point for getting the correct result, e.g. you predict England to win 2-0, but they only win 1-0
  • 0 points for getting the result incorrect, e.g. you predict England to win 2-0, but they draw or lose
• Final results are based on the score after 90 minutes - extra time and penalties do not count
• The winner will be the person with the highest points total after the final on 18^th December. If there are multiple people with the same points, we will use each level of the list below as tie-breakers until there is only 1 winner:
  1. Highest number of correct scores
  2. Total number of goals predicted vs. actual number of goals scored
  3. Earliest prediction submission
  4. Earliest sign-up date
  5. Virtual coin toss
• Entering the competition:
  • £2.50 per entry
  • £1.00 will go to the club, and £1.00 will go to the winner - the more entries there are, the higher the prize will be
  • The remaining £0.50 covers PayPal fees for collecting the money
